Who we are and what we've been up to.

My Name is Nigel Openshaw and with my small team of testers, have a small business that can look after our customers' needs on a personal and friendly basis. It was all started back in 1999 in Manchester UK, creating software programs and learning how to develop them. I am currently out in Deagu, South Korea teaching English to kids.

Welcome to Bloat-Free software.

The software is for Windows based PC's in various areas. This software is meant for the student, home user, or small business user that really does not need all the "Junk pile of accessories" that some companies seem to think we want. The goal is to create and develop products alongside our customers' requests. This small team and I try to create powerful and yet simple designed software for ease of use. I always need your feedback to help learn what you require from the programs. I take your requests very seriously and will try to accommodate them for you.

What software I give to you to use, I use also.

This whole website was built with Effective-WebPage and the tour sections created by Effective Slideshow.
Effective-Planner, Effective-Word and Effective-Journal I use within my teaching job for keeping track of lesson plans etc.I create and promote my own software with hardly any outside influence, so in the eventuality of any problems I am in full control of the situation. This also means that my prices are much lower than the competitors are. I do use one outside company, and that is for the graphic icons. Mark James's www.famfamfam.com has truly some wonderful graphics that are available to see in this website and through the software.

Freeware - poor support if any reply at all.
Office Suites - too expensive and bloated features.
Online Suites - Security of your files may be at risk and also their site may go offline - no access to your files.
Effective Aspects' Software - fairly priced and good support, which is always willing to help with your questions.

The first program was what we know today as Effective-Word. An earlier version previously appeared in PC Answers back in 2005

. After many years, I have now finally created and produced an outfit to promote these at their best. Great pride has been taken to provide fast efficient programs for you, but if a problem occurs, I am always ready to help.
