I create and promote my own software with hardly any outside influence, so in the eventuality of any problems I am in full control of the situation. This also means that my prices are much lower than the competitors are. I do use a couple of outside companies, and that is for the graphic icons.
For a long time I've been the admirer of www.famfamfam.com. the icons he made look very natural and work well in Windows.
A new source of icons I now mainly use is www.pinvoke.com. His icons are very modern.
